Co-Founder & CEO, FBYT — Decentralized Asset Management on Solana

Victor Gherbovet is a fintech entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in regulated financial markets and crypto infrastructure. He is the Co-Founder and CEO behind FBYT, a non-custodial asset management platform built on Solana that connects investors with professional money managers through transparent, on-chain vaults.

Before building in DeFi, Victor spent over 13 years at Admirals (formerly Admiral Markets), one of the world's leading regulated online brokers, where he rose from Director of the Romanian branch to Regional Manager for Eastern Europe, member of the Management Board, and ultimately Co-CEO of the group. That experience — running a global, multi-jurisdiction brokerage serving retail and institutional traders — shapes how FBYT approaches the problems traditional asset management never solved: custody risk, opaque track records, and gatekeeping that locks skilled traders out of professional money management.

Victor also founded Eight Capital and leads FirstByt Technologies, a crypto and fintech infrastructure company serving exchanges, brokers, and payment businesses worldwide. He holds a degree from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and began his career in banking as a credit officer at EXIMBANK.

On the FBYT blog, Victor writes about decentralized asset management, non-custodial vaults, Solana DeFi, copy trading and managed investing, and what it takes to become an on-chain money manager — drawing on years of experience on both sides of the industry: traditional brokerage and crypto-native finance.
