Bogdan Nicolae Albu

Bogdan Nicolae Albu has spent two decades inside regulated financial markets, most of it running brokerage operations that served retail investors directly. He joined FBYT to work on the same problem from the other side: making professional investment management accessible without the intermediaries, minimums, and opacity that define the traditional model.

Bogdan spent six years at Admirals (formerly Admiral Markets), where he served as advisor to the board and Global Sales Coordinator before becoming Regional Director for Romania and Hungary, as well as branch manager for the Romanian operation. Before that, he spent nearly seven years at XTB, Central and Eastern Europe's largest brokerage and one of the world's largest publicly listed brokers, where he rose from coordinating the brokerage desk to General Manager and Country Branch Director for Romania. He began his career in financial services at ING, working in the bank's insurance division.

Alongside his executive roles, Bogdan has built a parallel career in financial education. He is an authorised lecturer at CursuriBursa.ro, Romania's accredited capital-markets training provider, and holds certifications including ADRI (risk administrator for capital and financial markets) and the ACI certificate preparation programme from the Romanian Banking Institute and ATTF Luxembourg, as well as a train-the-trainer qualification in financial services. He serves as Ambassador of the INDE MBA Community at Bucharest Business School (ASE).

He is an economist by training, holding a degree from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges, and a master's degree in Financial Management and Stock Exchanges from the same institution. He appears regularly in Romanian financial media, including Profit.ro and Financial Market, discussing spreads, brokerage cost structures, and what retail investors need to understand before they start.

On the FBYT blog, Bogdan writes about trading mechanics, brokerage costs and fee structures, risk management, and how on-chain vaults compare to the traditional brokerage and fund models he spent twenty years building.
